The Eras Tour is a great opportunity to put together a Taylor Swift-inspired outfit. I’m sharing my two Eras Tour Outfit Ideas, complete with sources in case you’re attending a Toronto or Vancouver show – or other Swift-themed events.
Speak Now Inspired Outfit
For my Eras Tour concert in London at Wembley Stadium (which I wrote about here), I wore a Hill House Home Tulle Nap Dress in purple, complete with a Vivienne Westwood choker, red lipstick and comfy leather Lacoste sneakers. It was the middle of summer, so I barely needed my DIY jean jacket!
This look was super comfy and flowy to dance in all night in the 500s at Wembley, and I loved how feminine it was. Taylor Swift only performs one song from Speak Now, being Enchanted and it felt so special to wear this dress that reminds me of the Taylor’s Version album cover.
Midnights Inspired Eras Tour Outfit
For my Eras Tour Outfit in Toronto for Night 2, I decided to bring on the sparkles and fur with a Midnights-inspired Taylor Swift outfit. I paired a pink sequin dress I bought from Winners by Twinset (similar here), along with a purple ostrich feather coat and sparkly Cailin ankle booties from A New Day by Target. This outfit kept me super warm in chilly November weather, but I still felt super glamorous!
Toronto’s bag policy was super strict and I didn’t want a clear bag to ruin my look, so I just wore my iPhone in a purple lanyard case with my ID tucked inside.
My sparkly booties from Target were so fun, and gave me extra height because we managed to score floor seats for the Eras Tour at face value in a last minute Ticketmaster drop. I feel so grateful we were able to get those tickets and enjoy the Eras Tour experience! I added a gel ball of foot cushion for extra comfort, and I managed to last the entire 4 hour concert on my feet the entire time! If you have floor seats, I highly recommend wearing heels or platforms to give your height a boost.
For makeup, I wore the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink liquid lipstick in Pioneer, and used a Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions eyeshadow palette, with the Kelsea Ballerini x Covergirl Exhibitionist Glitter eyeshadow as a topper and highlighter for extra glitter.
The Eras Tour in Toronto was such a nice vibe, and I loved seeing so many creative outfits despite the chillier weather! It was truly… NICE!
RED – I Bet You Think About Me inspired outfit
For the Eras Tour in Toronto, my sister wore an outfit inspired by Taylor Swift’s look in the “I Bet You Think About Me” music video, complete with a red floral headband. My sister purchased the gloves and floral headband, but you could easily DIY this with red faux roses hot-glued onto a headband!
Lover Inspired Outfit
There are so many ways to interpret the Lover Era of Taylor Swift – anything heart – themed, cotton-candy coloured or tie dye would be perfect and can easily be found existing in your closet.
Another take would be to find a sequin blazer worn oversized and over a body suit or shirt + shorts with sparkly boots to emulate Taylor Swift’s iconic performance of “The Man” during the Eras Tour set. I was searching everywhere in Toronto for a sparkly blazer to no avail, since the song is especially poignant following the US election.
Folklore/Evermore Inspired Eras Tour Outfit Ideas
If you love Folklore and Evermore as much as me, there are so many ways to interpret the Sister Albums. I saw a couple women dressed in replicas of the Folkmore dress, which you can find on Etsy. I also saw one woman in a hooded cape over a white dress, which emulates the eerie performance of Willow during the Eras Tour. This is a super easy way to repurpose another Halloween costume as well!
Another great idea would be to find a floral applique dress similar to the Oscar de la Renta frock Taylor Swift wore to the 2021 Grammy’s where she won album of the year for Folklore. I love this style so much, and there are many replicas available online and in store. Ironically, the Bronx and Banco dress I wore in my engagement photos in Paris is very similar with the 3D floral applique details!
Reputation Inspired Eras Tour Outfits
My sister was supposed to see the Eras Tour in Vienna, and unfortunately it got cancelled! She created this incredible “Rep” themed dress by hand-bedazzling each crystal on each letter.
You can also purchase replica bodysuits, or keep things simple with an all black ensemble but adding snake motifs like snakeskin, or snake-print tights and snake jewelry. I think this is one of the easiest Eras Tour Outfits to make with things you may already have at home!
Fearless Taylor Swift
A gold fringe flapper dress is a must to emulate Taylor Swift’s Fearless era. I’ve linked to some options with fast shipping, or you can visit a local costume or vintage store for a similar fringed frock.
Other Taylor Swift Inspired Outfits
One of the BEST outfits I saw at Night 2 in Toronto was a woman in a black bodysuit, sheer tights, and stuffed toy Himalayan cat around her neck, imitating Taylor Swift’s iconic TIME Magazine cover.
If you are creative and know how to crochet, you can also replicate Taylor Swift’s famous crochet dress she wore while out in London. My sister is working on a version for me, but she made one for my dog and it’s adorable!
Taylor Swift has also been sporting many plaid and Vivienne Westwood outfits, so you can easily find a plaid mini dress or mini skirt, pair it with a corset and some platform loafers and you look like Swift out on the town in NYC or London!
Taylor has had so many iconic Grammy looks over the years, and if I had a white strapless dress to spare, I would recreate her grammy look by wearing the white column gown with black elbow-length gloves and a watch choker!
