I heard that Toronto is under a deep-freeze, so here is a winter look inspired by grey Scottish days, with a dash of French cabaret.
I’m wearing a wool coat from Zara, tights from Victoria’s Secret, a McQueen look-a-like clutch from the Red Carpet Collection at Town Shoes, and my lace booties were a gift.
I love this coat. It’s one of my favourite winter pieces that keeps me toasty during Toronto’s blistery winters. The hood makes me feel like a fairy-tale character; but sometimes I can be naughty or nice. It depends on my mood with this hood.
My makeup that day was for a photoshoot for Aris, my friend Andra’s final fashion collection at Ryerson. I fell in love with the gothic black feather lashes. Even thought they were heavy, I loved the dreamy effect they created.
It’s always all about the legs for me… and these tights are my absolute fave! While they’re only thigh-high stay ups (the possibilities for sexy garters are endless), I love the retro, gothic cabaret look. It’s fun to play with prints and I think especially with different textures. From the wool plaid, to the nylon vertical stripes, capping off with spanish lace, it’s fun to play with pattern.
… and stay protected from the windchill.
