Show me your mumu

I think what I miss most about warm weather is being able to step out in breezy chiffon. No more long underwear, fleece tights, itchy wool sweaters and two pairs of gloves. I’m always looking for a good coverup to throw on over my bikini once the sun goes down, and this one by Show Me Your Mumu is perfection!

My chiffon dress is from Fitzroy Boutique, my cutout booties are Jeffrey Campbell and my long necklace is from Forever 21.

It might seem weird to wear booties to the beach, but I love how the cutouts make them versatile for both fall and summer wear. They are extremely comfortable and the leather is soft and supple. I get blisters really easy, so it was a relief to step into these instead of my usual flip flops!

Drinking coconut milk straight from the coconut was a real treat… a little bit too watery but I couldn’t resist taking a few pictures with it, since the print of my dress is so tropical! Since my trip, I’ve been incorporating coconut water into my diet, whether it’s as a thirst-quenching drink, or in sauces. I’ve also swapped canola or olive oil for coconut oil when I’m frying anything. It adds flavour, prevents burning your food and it tastes a lot lighter. I’m curious to try coconut hair masques as well, and might even try using coconut oil as a conditioner to help mend my tresses!
