One of my favourite things to do in the summer is spend time by the water. When I’m not at the cottage by the lake, I love to go down to Toronto’s Harbourfront to watch the sailboats and relax in urban beaches and parks. It can get a little windy by the water, so I like to wear a breezy silk top and Levi 501 shorts because they are casual and pair well with everything!
I’m wearing Levi’s 501 Shorts in Slash, a paisley print silk top from Joe Fresh (similar here), my Rebecca Minkoff Collin Camera bag (similar here), Birkenstock Gizeh sandals, mirror aviators from H&M (similar here), and a pearl bracelet and evil eye necklace from Athens.
After you exit from Union Station in Toronto, I like to walk down south to the Ferry terminal and continue walking along the water until I reach HTO park. Toronto is currently revitalizing the harbour, and with a couple food trucks, a new cafe and brewery, the waterfront is getting the attention it deserves. It gets packed on the weekends, so I like going in the middle of the week, to beat the heat uptown.
These Levi 501 shorts are perfect for women. I personally love the high rise, because it pairs well with crop tops, and like that they are long enough in the back. I’ve posted before how to cut off Levi’s 501 shorts and transform them into shorts, which is a great way to renew a vintage pair of Levi Strauss jeans, but the selection of 501 shorts at Levi’s is seriously tempting me. I have my eye on the white pair as well!
I’m also wearing the ugly sandal trend with these comfy, silver Birkenstock Gizeh sandals. The metallic shade works with most outfits, and are a better orthopaedic option than plain old flip flops for walking around the city.
I can’t wait to head up to the cottage soon, and I’ll definitely be bringing my Levi’s 501 cut off shorts with me! How do you get #Equipped for summer? Let me know in the comments below!
This post was sponsored by Levi’s but my love for Levi Strauss denim is all my own!

Hi Erica! Definitely pick up a pair while they’re so hot… I’d suggest getting the Arizona (classic two strap) or Madrid (one strap), because the flip flop style took a lot longer to break in! I’m hoping to get a pair in white when my sister comes back from Europe. Thanks for your comments <3
Gorgeous outfit!! <33 So happy to find another Canadian fashion blogger!
