Even though the flower nurseries have closed up shop for the summer, gardens are in full bloom and so is my closet. A pleated skirt is one of my go-to separates, but at times, I feel like I run out of options. This time, I decided to pair a colour blocked pleated mint skirt with a mirror image floral shirt for a simple, feminine look.
I’m wearing an accordion pleated mint skirt from Simons in Montreal, a floral shirt from H&M, tinkerbell tights c/o nowistyle, a vintage colourblock quilted purse and blush suede pumps from Vince Camuto.
Sometimes, I find it hard to decide what top to wear with a pleated skirt, and usually tuck my shirts in. This time, I decided to find a thicker blouse and wear it on top for a more modern look that’s also less stuffy.
I love the way these tattoo tights add a touch of whimsy. Tinkerbell has always been a favourite!
So whether you’re on your way to the office or a lunch date, a pleated skirt is the perfect summer season piece. Airy and girly, pick one up in a summer hue and wear it with a white shirt for a simple summer outfit.
