If you don’t follow me on Instagram, you might not know that I am a crazy cat lady. I have four cats (and a dog who thinks she’s a cat) who all live in our home and are always at the centre of dinner table conversation. As I write this post, Stella is sleeping beside me on a couch. I’m also a fan of anything cat-related and fell in love with this cat dress c/o Persunmall because it looks exactly like Mousse (albeit, a little bit thinner in the face).
Yesterday, I wore the cat dress with a leather jacket and army green booties. The jacket is the perfect layering piece and the green booties add a little bit of colour.
Lately, I’ve noticed a lot of fashion bloggers post looks featuring leather jackets, and all of them are wearing the jackets draped on their shoulders. I don’t really understand why they do that, but I was making my sister laugh with these “stereotypical serious fashion blogger” poses.
All my cats are indoors, and a couple weeks ago, Mousse escaped while my dad was fetching the newspaper. I didn’t want to take any risks for this photo shoot, so that’s why she’s wearing a little harness. Say what you will about “letting cats explore” but my street is full of construction, and a major intersection (one of the busiest in Canada) is only a couple blocks away. I’ve seen too many accidents to even consider letting my cats out. On a side note, all of them are rescues, and while they aren’t pedigree flat-faced snobs, I love them to bits.
Haha, those pictures are so funny, I thought you suddenly changed your way of posing but fortunately you didn’t. 🙂
