A new year is a time for new beginnings… it’s a clean slate to embody new visions and ambitions for your self, your career and your relationships. It’s also an opportunity to overhaul your style and shopping routines, and strive to put forward the best version of yourself.
To herald in the new year, I wanted to share how in 2014, I’m hoping to focus on my blog, career and finding an outlet to excel in. 2013 had a lot of high and low points, and I’m hoping I’m off to a better start with the ground work and effort I put in at the end of 2013. From applying to law school and becoming a teacher, I’m hoping 2014 will mean more education and exploration!
Over the course of 2013, I had the wonderful opportunity to explore many places, and one new place I visited was Paradise Island, Bahamas. On my second day there, my sister took me to this stunning cloister garden, and I put together this quick photo shoot featuring an elegant white dress, a turquoise clutch and silver jewelry.
I fell in love with the back details of this dress, where the criss-cross details were accentuated with beadwork. It’s a super sexy cut, which makes this white evening gown seem less of a wedding dress.
In the new year, I also hope to push the boundaries of this blog and feature more profiles and articles, as well as expand into video more! It’s an exciting time when you get to press “refresh” and I’m hopeful it will be a wonderful time ahead.
I recognize this location, so beautiful! The Bahamas are wonderful, and such a gorgeous dress! : )

Thank you so much Elizabeth! And yes, it’s a really popular spot for wedding/engagement photos for tourists! My sister/photographer and I got a couple stares while doing this shoot!
I was drawn in from the Pleated Poppy by your stunning image … once here … I am even more impressed with your words! Here’s to 2014 being all you desire it to be!
