I’ve always dreamed of packing my bags and moving to Europe, immersing myself in a new culture and environment, and today, that little dream of mine is coming true! I left my beloved home of Toronto to study journalism in Utrecht, Netherlands.
The town is speckled with beautiful sights like gorgeous houses, canals and architecture.
I visited my future home, the Spaceboxes on Bolognalaan (Bologna lane) and the girl who lives there now gave me a quick tour of my future abode. It’s very quaint but I have some home decor tips up my sleeve that I can’t wait to blog about!
I did some errands around Utrecht, and my first impression of the city was that everyone and their dog rides a bike! It’s unreal. Rob Ford wouldn’t like this town, I could tell you that much. The bus system is really efficient here too, and I can’t wait to explore what the area has to offer.
I’m exhausted from jet lag, but I will post pictures as they come… and look forward to later this week when I will have some coverage from Amsterdam Fashion Week!
(Snapped leaving Toronto with my wild luggage…)
From my temporary home in Zeist (disclaimer: the above picture is not my hotel), tot ziens!
