The Erdem for H&M collection was one of my favourite designer collaborations ever. From sumptuous ballgowns to silky pyjamas, it sold out in minutes- and aptly so. I was invited by H&M to attend the media event held one day prior to the collaboration launch, and was lucky enough to purchase all the products on my wishlist. I couldn’t believe I left with not just a dress but a full on GOWN… and for just under $300 too. The Erdem for H&M collection was a celebration of femininity, elegance and maximilism… an aesthetic that I am so excited is back! I shot the Erdem for H&M collection over the weekend and am so excited to share these photos of beautiful clothes shot on location at the University of Toronto.
Erdem Moralıoğlu is actually from Canada, and was born in Montreal and attended my alma matter, Ryerson University for fashion school. He’s since taken his label to London and dressed international celebrities, including Duchess Catherine. I was so excited to take home a piece of luxury I might never be able to afford… while also still owning a sort-of Canadian brand. To me, I am so excited that a Canadian-born designer has been launched onto such an International stage.
I’m wearing a floral Jacquard-patterned dress from the Erdem for H&M collection, black suede pumps ℅ Talbots, and turquoise fringe earrings ℅ Obsessions Fashion. This dress is super fun and perfect for a Holiday party. I ADORE the sexy cutouts on the side and the grossgrain bow. This dress was a total steal for only $199. Beware, I had to size up to a size 8 in this dress as it was too tight around my bust.
I was not expecting to buy this gown, but once I had it on, I couldn’t leave the store without it. The jacquard-patterned ballgown was the centrepiece of the Erdem for H&M collection, and it is STUNNING. Can someone invite me to a ball already? Again, in this dress I had to size up to a size 6, and an 8 wasn’t available, but I found the breast shape fit me better. The dress is made of polyester fabric, however the detailing and finishing is top notch. I love the high-low hem (so you don’t trip as you walk), and the darling bows.
I styled this gown with the Erdem for H&M crystal rhinestone clip-on earrings. These earrings are actually clip-ons! The box is so beautiful, and definitely worth buying if you can. Again, I paired the dress with simple black pumps ℅ Talbots.
This collection was beautiful, and truly well-executed. I loved all the floral details, unique prints and luxurious fabric choices. I also purchased the leopard coat, which had the most flattering shape. I can’t wait to wear that soon too.
