Happy Canada Day!
This year “The Great White North” is celebrating its 146th birthday, and it falls on a Monday, making it the perfect long weekend. Here are some cute Canada Day outfits, perfect for any type of celebration and ideal for the hot summer we’re in for!
A flag swimsuit
If your friends are throwing a long-weekend pool party, why not show up and show your national pride with Blackmilk’s World Flags Canada Swimsuit? This bathing suit is patriotic and you’ll definitely be the talk of the party. If you’re worried about only being able to wear this once a year, the swimsuit could double as a bodysuit that you could wear under jeans for a national hockey game. But everyone loves Canadians, so sport your national pride on the beaches of the Mediterranean or Caribbean!
A red skort
Zara’s asymmetrical culottes are a hit with bloggers and can be worn with a sheer silk blouse for an elegant look. They used to only come in black or white, but with red in the mix, you will be the most stylish guest at the rooftop patio party. Not only are they asymmetrical and structured, but the sneaky skort construction lets you bend over or dance the night away without any wardrobe malfunctions. (The writer of this article has this skort in all three colours, by the way)
A printed blouse
A breezy, printed blouse in a red colour is the simplest (and least daring) way to dress for Canada Day. You can combine this printed blouse from Denim & Supply by Ralph Lauren with everything from jeans to a pencil skirt or casual denim cutoffs.
All white
One of summer’s hottest trends is all white everything. Perfect for a patio or dinner party, pair elegant, tailored separates in white. This drawstring dress from Zara can be dressed down or up. Add a red bag and your look is patriotic yet still on-trend.
Red and white stripes
Take the black and white stripes trend and swap out black for red. You can’t wear this look in cooler months without looking like a candy cane, but in July, red and white stripes are nautical and fresh. Wear a striped dress from Asos, or pick up one of Michael Kors’ striped saffiano travel tote for a dose of Canadian pride you can wear all summer long.

Nice post, I love that bag and the swimsuit! Do you Canadians actually feel about red and white like Dutchmen feel about orange? I mean, when I see someone in an orange dress, I immediately associate it with Queensday.. 😉
