One of my favourite traditions during the Holiday season is decorating my home. Condo Christmas Decor is a whole other story, as I realized I didn’t have enough space for my 8′ artificial tree, but still wanted to feel festive and warm. When HomeSense and She Does the City, a local Toronto-based website reached to partner with me for some holiday decor inspiration, I jumped at the chance. You can check out my full article feature and Q&A on She Does the City here.
Right when you walk into my apartment, I completely switched up my picture ledges with some festive touches! I did a DIY “Ho Ho Ho” print with some scrap white paper and a sharpie. I also framed an adorable card I got from HomeSense. I love these crisp white frames, they make anything look good! On the lower shelf, this incredible wooden winterland scene is a showstopper! I love the beautiful shadows it casts on the wall, and it fits the small IKEA shelf perfectly. Lastly, a mirrored Mid-Century Modern tree star is an unexpected addition to a shelfie.
I was given the theme of “Classic Christmas” for this Condo Christmas Decor challenge, and was a bit nervous at first, considering my sectional is bright pastel pink! I chose to go with a red and gold colour scheme for my new Chrismas couch cushions. The velvet Joy to the World pillow, and matching white and gold embroidered pillow from Rodeo Home (both from HomeSense), add a festive touch and are so plush and comfy. My favourite though, is the beautiful beaded lumbar pillow featuring Santa’s sleigh and reindeer!
The plaid wool throw is so cozy, incredibly warm and is made in United Kingdom. I can’t believe it was only $59.99 at HomeSense, and I wish I bought a couple more to have on hand as gifts.
HomeSense is a wonderful place to shop for beautiful accents to bring your space for life. I styled my condo with some vintage bottlebrush trees, which are a huge trend this year! I also picked up a Sand + Fog candle in a stunning pine scent, which both look gorgeous on my marble side table. I also styled my gold Moroccan pouf with a small wooden tray, a Mr & Mrs Claus snowglobe, and an adorable ‘Tis the Season coffee mug.
I always find it so challenging to style a TV or media unit. These pink glitter trees are very fun, and frame the TV. I also picked up a Flamingo snowglobe, some ornaments, little gift boxes, and a chic cat doll to add a festive touch! And of course, this mini flocked Christmas tree is perfect for small spaces, and still feels very festive.
When we first moved into the condo, it was a struggle to find a spot to display treasured items, books and plants. We installed this floating shelf over the doorway, and love how we can switch up the decor. This felt Santa is our version of Elf on the Shelf, while we got creative with these flocked Eucalyptus faux flowers that we transformed into a garland with some clear 3M hooks. I love how it frames the doorway and adds a festive touch to an all-white condo.
For my outfit, I’m wearing a green velvet wrap dress from Dynamite (worn previously here), that I styled with some pink velvet pumps from Forever 21 (similar here).
