Centreville

It’s no secret I’m a big fan of Toronto’s Islands. I love Ward’s Island Beach, and even ran 15km around the island. A little while back, my sister had a picnic at Centreville and took pictures around the kitschy, nostalgic park. For a day of photo-taking and sight-seeing, I wore a breezy tank with Club Monaco scalloped shorts, which are the perfect balance between practical and cute.

I’m wearing a peplum tank from Old Navy, Club Monaco scalloped shorts, a periwinkle Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC crossbody bag, a Daniel Wellington watch, and denim sandals c/o DSW Canada.

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with Old Navy. Surprisingly, their summer prints and tops have been on point and are great, affordable casual pieces. I love the graphic retro print of this peplum top that layers great under a jacket or alone like I wore here.

Of course, I had to match my pastel scalloped shorts with a cute periwinkle bag. My Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC fits everything I need, and is such a gorgeous pastel colour!

My Club Monaco scalloped shorts are a perennial favourite. I’ve worn them before with a blouse, but I really liked the way they paired with this breezy top. I adore the textured lace of the fabric, and how they’ve held up their shape after two seasons. The periwinkle colour is also a bonus! I love how they matched the retro surroundings of Centreville on the island.
