The first show I attended at NYFW was the Jay Godfrey FW 2016 presentation. I was excited to check out his slinky gowns and sexy evening pieces.
The collection featured some new takes on eveningwear, with plenty of jumpsuits, gowns with cutouts and dresses over pants. These are trends I've seen on many bloggers, and I love that it's now being translated to formal wear.
The colour palette was an interesting mix of jewel tones; sapphires, purples, and emeralds, as well as muted mauves and pinks.
