This weekend, the Altuzarra for Target collection was released in stores. Because I moved to Ottawa, I lucked out and got a few pieces from this designer collection without having to line up! Even though I showed up at 10 a.m., I still managed to snag the gold embroidered crane sweater from the Altuzarra for Target collection (which sold out online), and is probably my favourite piece from the entire collection.
I’m wearing an Altuzarra for Target crane sweater, Rich & Skinny black jeans, Zara thigh-high suede boots (similar Stuart Weitzman boots), Urban Outfitters Emma sunglasses and a Michael Kors python Selma bag.

As I mentioned before, the Target location in Ottawa was nearly fully stocked (save for the crane embroidered dress) and I ended up trying on a few pieces. The red wrap dress looked slinky and sexy on, but the shiny fabric felt so cheap and poorly constructed. I liked the red velvet blazer, however I wasn’t so keen on the eggplant-coloured lapels, which were a bit too 1970s for me. The matching pants also had a horrendous fit. Probably the most disappointing was the trench coat. The pictures look beautiful and the fabric is nice, but the weird length (it hit right at my knees) and the draping in the back wasn’t the most flattering. The orchid print dresses were my least favourite in store. The prints weren’t crisp and looked blurry, while the shiny fabric (just like the red dress) looked cheaper than other items from Target’s regular clothing line. This collection was a huge disappointment, and save for the few things I picked up, and isn’t worth waking up at 5 a.m. for!
I also purchased the python chiffon tie blouse (a classic they couldn’t get wrong) and the matching snakeskin print pencil skirt. You could wear these two together as a dress, but I’m hoping to get tons of mileage out of these separates for only $34.99 each.
My favourite piece from the collection is definitely the Altuzarra for Target crane sweater. I wore the sweater yesterday afternoon with a simple pair of skinny jeans and sexy boots, to let the gold crane embroidery be the focal point. I can’t wait to pair this sweater with a pair of shiny gold jeans for a flirty black mini for the Holiday season!
Totally understand your love for that sweater!!!
Looks great:o)
