This look was inspired by the tropics. Over the holidays, I vacationed in Puerto Morelos, Mexico (or PoMo, as I’ve learned it’s called), and this outfit is perfect for sight-seeing, shopping or relaxing in a tropical garden.
I’m wearing a romper from Topshop. I bought it at Jonathan + Olivia in the summer when they still carried the Topshop line. The romper is made of linen, which is a great material to wear when it’s over 30 degrees celcius and the humidity is making your jewelry oxidize! The shape is relaxed, with cargo pocket details (that are functional too- again, this is a great thing to wear for sight-seeing), a classic collar and a woven brown belt to cinch in my frame. But my favourite part about this look is the colour! It reminds me of a juicy grapefruit or guava, which is what I lived off for a week.
To keep my eyes cool, I paired the romber with my favourite Minimal Baroque sunnies by Prada. I think they give this casual look a luxe upgrade!
I love the jewelry I’m wearing in this look too! My oversized crystal ring is from Forever 21, and my necklace is a sliced piece of a seashell, coated in silver! The necklace was a memento from my trip last year to Florida.
I feel like this outfit fits perfectly in the tropical setting, and I can’t wait to wear more peachy hues come springtime!
