The Ex is always bittersweet. While I love eating cotton candy and seeing the midway at night, it always means summer is coming to an end. I went to the CNE on opening day last week, and the weather was breezy and fall-like, so I was excited to wear this layered look with a fringe suede jacket and striped Keds sneakers, which was comfy and warm for a day at the Ex.
I’m wearing a suede fringe jacket from Forever 21 (similar Missguided Fringe Jacket), chiffon feather print top (similar Warehouse feather print cami), Calvin Klein skinny jeans, Champion jersey green striped sneakers c/o Kate Spade for Keds, Michael Kors Tribeca watch, Forever 21 amethyst necklace and Alex and Ani bangles.

I love all the fun colours and vintage fair rides at the Ex. My second favourite part is all the amazing food. This year, my boyfriend dared to try chocolate fried chicken, but he’ll be going back for Fran’s Thanksgiving waffle, complete with turkey and cranberry sauce.
This old carousel was the perfect backdrop for photos. I love the fun fringe on this suede jacket, which has a vintage feel, but is updated by the drapey lapels on the front.
My jersey green Champion Keds for Kate Spade sneakers were super comfy for a day at the Ex. The gray and green stripes were a contrast to my feather print top, but I’m finding that the stripes are working with a lot of different colours and patterns.
I also layered my Michael Kors watch and Alex and Ani jewelry with some rings to complete the bohemian-inspired look. I love the brass look of the bangles and rings especially when they’re stacked.
We ended our day at the Ex with some funnel cake and dinner at the Food Building, but I hope I’ll be back again one evening to shoot the midway at night and indulge in some cotton candy!
Love that top! Super cute matching with your shoes, too 🙂
