While I love wearing colourful floral and fruit prints in the summer, it’s sometimes refreshing to go back to basic black and white. This minimalist peplum hem dress features a sleek shift shape with a flirty peplum hem. I also fell in love with the cool black grid and skyline print adorning the bottom.

I think this look is versatile and I could have paired the dress with a colourful clutch and shoes, but instead, decided to keep within the monochromatic theme.
With a peplum hem and shift shape, I think a little boost from a pair of heels balances out the shapeless silhouette. I love how this pair of cage heels mimics the grid print of the dress.
I also paired a white statement necklace with the high neckline of this dress. Again, I wanted to keep within the monochrome colour palette, and like the way white on white looks for summer.
