This weekend, a snowstorm blew over Toronto, laying down a beautiful blanket of white snow. I spent most of it inside, but when I went out for dinner, I wanted to put on something more cheerful. Even if the Groundhog predicted six more weeks of winter, this dress brings back memories of springtime.
I’m wearing a floral tapestry dress c/o Chicwish, a coat with a ruffled hem from Target, an Anthropologie bejewelled belt, BCBGeneration suede booties, and my 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Mini Pashli bag.
To pull off florals in winter, I suggest pairing them with neutral accessories and outerwear. I wanted to wear a pink coat, but it overwhelmed the floral print. Let the print be the focus of the outfit and wintery accessories make even the most summery prints appropriate for winter wear. I also added the jewelled belt for a bit of “frosting” and the cool muted colours of this print work even in a snowstorm.
great look! nice blog!
following you dear<3
Oh man, this has been a rough winter! I actually decided to wear florals today too – I swear it helps a little bit!
That dress is so pretty. I’m a fellow canadian and I’m in London and this winter has been a drag. Honestly.
