After 24 hours, the style fairies at ShoeDazzle (led by their queen, Rachel Zoe) came up with a personalized June showroom, featuring shoes and bags in pastel colours, rock and roll studs and comfy heel heights – being 5’9″, I can’t stomach higher heels that make me taller than my boyfriend!
Here are some of their recommendations that I fell in love with… that remind me of designer styles for less!
The Sahara heel by Scene ($44.95) is a gorgeous pointy-toe pump, featuring studs and is a dead-ringer for Valentino’s famous Rockstud Punkouture heel.
I love the black-on-black studs and the mid-height heel that’s appropriate for the office or date night.
The Sibley bag ($37.95) adds a punch of colour, and reminds me of Rebecca Minkoff’s famous (and currently out of my budget) Skylar bag.
I love this bag in peach, especially in contrast with the silver studs. I would wear it with a white cotton blouse and denim shorts, or against mint for a fresh pastel look.
The Karisya pump ($43.95) features an on-trend ankle strap and a black and white print. This style also reminds me of Tory Burch’s Beverly pump.
I love this shoe because it can transition from summer to fall (yes, I do think that far ahead), and the ankle strap keeps my feet from falling over.
Last, but certainly not least, the Tera sandal ($33.71) touches on my latest obsession with 70’s disco platforms. These shoes look like a sexier version of Sam Edelman’s Corbin platform sandal.
Comfy yet assertively high, these sandals would look chic with a sarong poolside, or with a sundress strutting down Bloor Street… only to tear up the dancefloor on a rooftop patio lounge when the sun goes down.
