All week, I’ve been bogged down by school, midterms, and on a lighter note, World Mastercard Fashion Week. I’m so happy to get to cover some shows for this blog, and snap pictures of the runway. While I believe the best part of fashion week happens inside the tents, there’s no denying that the circus happening outside of it is just as fun.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, I was snapped by my friend and photographer, Max Kopanygin for FLARE Magazine.
Tuesday was freezing after a storm, and I opted to wear a fuzzy and warm vintage faux-fur leopard jacket. I accessorized with elbow-length Club Monaco gloves, a purse c/o Nowistyle and a vintage hat.
The next day, the weather wasn’t any better, but I decided to brave it and don my Mackage coat, as I was seeing the label’s show later that night. Max was shooting for FLARE’s annual “Wear Canada Day” so I wore my Mackage wool coat, a fringe Joe Fresh mini and a felt hat by Ophelie. I loved this look, because it mixed Canadian designers big and small, at prices high and low. It didn’t occur to me that I was snapped wearing a hat two days in a row, but I think a wool topper is more fashionable than a “condom hat” or a hood. Because freezing to death is not an option, especially when there are so many shows to see!
