While the leaves are about to fall, I can still see a couple of butterflies fluttering around the lavender plants in my garden. After all, there’s still one day left of summer. This look was inspired by my favourite insect, the butterfly and the transition from summer to fall.
I am wearing a beautiful monarch printed dress c/o Now I Style, a new commerce website from Japan, with celebrity-inspired fashion. I pulled together the look with a wide corset belt and matching United Nude loafer block pumps from Amsterdam.
I am absolutely in love with these shoes. Yes, they’re a little bit weird, ugly even, but I love the way the large blog heel creates an eye-catching detail, making a pair of preppy loafers into an edgy style statement. United Nude is quickly becoming one of my go-to brands when it comes to unique, design-oriented footwear.
For another eye-catching detail, I put a faux monarch butterfly into my hair. To get the look, simply purchase a butterfly from a dollar store or craft store, and take the floral wire under your hair, affix pins to keep it in place. It’s fun and flirty, and a perfect compliment to the beautiful print of my dress.
The shape of this dress had a drop waist, so I wanted to create some definition and interest by cinching my waist with a thick belt.
Add a camel trench coat and voila! The perfect fall outfit. This is also your last week to enter my Simply Chic for TIFF Beauty Giveaway!!!
