In honour of the Venice Film Festival happening this week, I wanted to share my time in Lido, where the stars descend on the quaint sand bank and bring even more glamour to Venice every August.
After an incredible two weeks travelling in Italy, it was so nice to take a break and relax in the sun. We got a chance to work on our tans, drink some Bellinis on the beach and enjoy the beautiful beach. I’m wearing a blouse from H&M and shorts from Versace’s spring collection for H&M, that match my bathing suit.
This isn’t the best picture of my shorts, but they have the best print! I love the flirty flowers and butterflies.
The beach was mainly empty, but I could only imagine how busy it is right now. I could only imagine the glamourous Italians and movie stars lounging in these private shacks. I loved their vintage hues and the way they were lined up along the sand bar.
This is where some films at the festival are screened. Undergoing renovations, they were completely vacant and almost ghostly… a totally different scene from the media circus going on this week!
I was happy I got to wear my Versace bathing suit in Venice… I even swam in the freezing Adriatic sea, just so that my suit can have bragging rights. I know it’s silly, but I love it when my clothes have stories.
Our footsteps in the sand. What an unforgettable time in Venice! I dream about it sometimes…
