Even though I love all the pastel sorbet colours of summer, sometimes it’s nice to take a break and deck myself out in black and white. I love adding a pop of colour into a simple black and white outfit, and some statement accessories to take a grayscale look from drab to fab.
I’m wearing a printed chiffon blouse and rosette skirt (that’s surprisingly made in the U.S.) from Forever XXI. My sunglasses are from the market in Milan and my cobalt blue necklace is from Vienna. To match the deep cerulean of the necklace, I painted my nails in a striking shade of blue, available at Kiko Cosmetics (in Europe only, sadly).
My tights are by Anna Sui – and are a complete work of art. This might be a little bit too much, playing with so many prints and textures, but to tone this down for everyday, a simple white blouse and pencil skirt paired with killer fishnets is a very sexy, confident look. I love fishnets in summer because you still have the elegance of wearing hosiery without the heat!
I love large statement necklaces… an outfit isn’t complete without one sometimes!
