This look was put together for my first official styling gig for VEUX Magazine.
It’s part of a collection of pre-fall 70s inspired looks I styled for the magazine. I love that this look is easy-breezy and elegant. I find bohemian looks can often look dirty and not very feminine, but this maxi skirt has a winning combination of mystery and sex appeal thanks to the leg slit.
Accordion pleating is one of my favourite textures for summer skirts, and I love that this one can work for fall with ankle booties. The skirt is from H&M ($59.95) and the blouse is from Winners ($16.99).
Scarf prints are a big trend this summer, and deeper richer tones like the one in this blouse are perfect for fall. I adore this necklace, a steal from Forever XXI ($6.80).
My shoes are MRKT from DSW when I went shopping in Buffalo a couple weeks ago. I’ve seen this brand at Town Shoes and Browns as well.
This look was modeled by the lovely Katie Buitendyk yesterday, and here’s a sneak peek!
