Valentine’s Day Outfit Idea: Pink Sequin skirt

Valentine’s Day Outfit Idea: Pink Sequin skirt

Still looking for a Valentine’s Day outfit? A pink sequin skirt is a great piece that is perfect for a fancy dinner or night out. I paired this glittery mermaid look with a subdued white turtleneck, which is ideal for chilly February weather, some simple pumps and a chic Chanel handbag for a feminine, elegant look.

I’m wearing a pink sequin skirt from H&M, a white turtleneck from J. Crew, pumps from Vince Camuto and a classic Chanel double flap bag from Luxe Touch Designer consignment.

In the winter time, I get so sick of layering up with thick sweaters and bulky scarves. A simple, clean turtleneck is a great way to pull off a fun skirt or chic pair of trousers. It also layers great for work under a blazer or a sleeveless dress. Here, I paired the white turtleneck with a pink sequin midi skirt. The look is very girly and glamorous, but the combination works well for mini skirts too! I’ve been wearing a black turtleneck and suede skirt a lot lately…So if you want a sexier look for Valentine’s Day, shorten the hemline and wear a pair of patterned tights.

Accessories are a must. Because my sequin skirt stands out, I kept it simple and wore a gold bangle with a classic Chanel double flap bag. This one is vintage from Luxe Touch, and goes perfectly with the feminine vibe of my outfit! I love how I can wear it crossbody or as a handbag. It’s seriously the perfect date night bag, and can fit a lot, surprisingly. Coco Chanel supposedly stored love letters in the inner zippered portion of the 2.55 handbag. This bag is truly a love story!

For my heels, I wore a pair of patent pumps, which can be easily wiped down in the salty streets. I can’t wait to go back to suede but for now, it’s nice to play it safe.

I kept my makeup simple with natural skin, eyes and brows, but added a pop of colour with the new Make Up For Ever Artist Acrylip in shade 401 Raspberry Red. To me, the colour is the perfect juicy raspberry pink! It might not be kiss proof, but the high shine and stunning colour makes your lips look so kissable! When it comes to date night makeup, I prefer to let one feature stand out, and on Valentine’s Day, it has to be the lips.

I hope this post gave you some tips on what to wear to Valentine’s Day, and how to style a pink sequin skirt!
