Going back to school can be a drag, but I secretly loved stocking up with new supplies and a fresh wardrobe. I’ve rounded up my 10 must-haves for back to school… inspired by my own favourites from when I would go back to law school! They’re all from Amazon.ca, so you can order them in time for the first day of University!
Don’t go to school without a great bag. I’m not a huge fan of backpacks, but a sleek leather tote, like this one by Tory Burch will carry all your essentials. This can do double duty for job interviews too.
To stay organized, a cute day planner is a must. Especially in law school, I would use it to keep track of readings, exams, clinic work and Supreme Court Hearings I wanted to attend.
I LOVE my Aukey charging block. Keep it at the bottom of your book bag or in your locker for charges on the go… I don’t know about you, but half the time lecture halls wouldn’t have working plugs!
I’ve blogged about natural stress relief for students here, and can’t go without my favourite essential oils. I would recommend picking up some all natural lavender oil to help with stress and to sleep better after all nighters. I also love this wood diffuser because it looks chic on my bookshelf.
I’ve become a connoisseur of stationery while studying for the bar. I adore Frixion Erasable Pens in the thin, 0.5mm thickness. I love that you can erase mistakes and find them perfect for day planning.
Another item I can’t live without are my Bic Grip Highlighters. I went through over 60 of these while studying for the bar exams, and trust me, they are worth every penny. They don’t bleed, they’re easy to control, and you can hold them for hours.
Kick off the new school year with a new pair of kicks. This pair from Adidas is a modern classic and will go with everything.
I love my insulated water bottles. Perfect for my desk, the gym or on the go, this S’well one is leakproof and will keep your drink cold for 24 hours!
Packing a lunch is a MUST for students. It saved me so much money to pack up leftovers while I was in law school. This set of lunch boxes is perfect for dedicating your portions and planning your meals ahead of time so you save money and eat healthy.
10. Coffee Maker
Of course, any university student (especially law students) needs a coffee maker. Instead of the instant pod version which is environmentally detrimental, this drip one by Hario is just as easy to use and clean… and comes in fun colours!
