Cherry Blossoms in Trinity Bellwoods Park

One of my favourite memories of Spring this year was catching the cherry blossoms in Trinity Bellwoods Park. In years past, I’ve visited High Park to see the sakura, secret spots to see cherry blossoms in Toronto or even Burlington. If you’re hoping to find a charming park in the middle of the city, Trinity Bellwoods never disappoints. On weekends, thousands of young people have picnics in the park, while on the last Sunday of the month, a group hosts a “Pug Grumble” in the dog park. This year, however, my sister and I woke up very early with a mission to take photos and see the cherry blossoms in Trinity Bellwoods Park.

I’m wearing a pink dress c/o Ted Baker, nude Salvatore Ferragamo Tina pumps, a rosegold Tissot watch and a pink Mini MAB tote from Rebecca Minkoff.

This year, there was a lot of construction and resodding happening near the cherry blossoms in Trinity Bellwoods Park. We had to get a little bit creative with our angles to avoid them! The grass was also very muddy, and my shoes did not make it out unscathed! Had I known, I would have worn more appropriate footwear for sure.

My Ted Baker dress has the most adorable floral sequin appliqués that remind me of sakura blossoms. I love the bows on the side of the dress, as well as the high neckline. This dress is so timeless, and always makes me feel like spring is here.

It was definitely a lovely experience to take in the cherry blossoms in Trinity Bellwoods Park without a massive crowd. Not only were we able to shoot photos efficiently, but we also had time to take in their beauty without anyone around us. It was incredibly serene and beautiful, and a lovely way to start the day.

If you’re hoping to visit the cherry blossoms in Trinity Bellwoods Park next year, I highly recommend coming on a weekday around 7 – 8 a.m. We also visited towards the end of peak bloom, and while the effect was a little bit less intense, there were still lots of trees covered in petals.
